Things to do in Salem
Salem city in Essex County is located in northeastern Massachusetts state and is known for the First Congregational Church in America that was organized in 1626. The name “Salem” probably derives from the shortened version of Jerusalem (City of Peace), although much of its identity is based on its role as a location for the Salem witch trials of 1962. The city is known throughout history during the Revolutionary times, but still, it remains the infamous hotspot for Witchcraft Heights and Gallows Hill which were known to be the sight of many public hangings.
