Things to do in Lüneburg
Lüneburg is a Hanseatic town in Lower Saxony, renown for its historic red brick Gothic architecture. It survived WWII intact and maintains therefore an authentic medieval town centre. The city's economy revolved around its salt mines, where the precious good has been extracted for more than 1000 years. Lüneburg also gives its name to the surrounding heath, a natural reserve famous for its beauty.
